Marginalized Adolescent Girl
My name is Nazia Prabin. I am a marginalized adolescent girl. My family's financial condition is very weak because of this; my father is working in neighbor’s house. Before the ENGAGE project intervention, I dropped out of class 3 and was living at home only doing my house work. When the ENGAGE project came, then I got an opportunity to study in a bridge class for 9 months, after that I enrolled in Azizmia Higher Secondary School in class 7 and studied regularly and now, I have been reading class 9. The project has regularly provided me learning materials, seed money and other needed educational materials to continue my education. I have been regularly participated in extracurricular activities in which I have always secured first rank. It was very difficult for me to go to school due to the distance of the school, the ENGAGE project has given me Rs. 8,000 as a seed money support from which I bought a bicycle due to which it is easy for me to go to school. My dream is to become a teacher and serve my country. Thank you very much to the big sister, project staff, DDRC, VSO Nepal and HI who always supported me to fulfill my dream.
