Adolescent Reproductive Health
We have successfully carried out ARH-related activities in the community through the ENGAGE project, Saksham project, LRP project. These project have benefited more than 2000 adolescent and women. As a result, there has been a good improvement in the communities. During the project intervention, we supported adolescent girls in managing their reproductive health systems. We provided reproductive health training to school’s students and handover to vending machines to the Paterwa Sugauli Rural Municipality's four schools. As a result, the dropout rate of adolescent girls in schools has been reduced. We have been mobilizing health-related experts for the ARH intervention, and the technical team has been providing technical assistance for improved performance. During the project Intervention in the Working Areas, a positive environment in the health sector was developed. As a result, the community is aware of health and hygiene issues. The DDRC Parsa has been run ARH project in Jagarnathpur RM, Pokhariya Municipality, Bahudarmai Municipality and Parsagadhi Municipality. The main focus on adolescent reproductive health, working to improve access to FP/RH for adolescent. This project provides sexual and reproductive health care to 1200 of adolescent This organization provides education facilities and other reproductive health services to adolescent as per need base. The project has a particular focus on reaching marginalized communities, including parents. The DDRC provides services and advocacy for adolescent and their parents, including comprehensive education and access to reproductive health. We have many experienced health related worker to run this reproductive health program with our organization. Which is playing a special role to make the program successful.
The Key Intermediate Result of this project are
- Adolescent have improved understanding of the reproductive health, have developed skill make health decision and are empowered to adopt health behavior.
- Adolescent have received FP/RH information and SBC support, and been linked to quality, adolescent reproductive FP/RH services and product.
- Community members have received SBC support so they facilitate decision making and adaptation of healthy FP/RH behavior by adolescent.
- Adolescent responsive FP/RH service and product for students identified & Strengthened in each selected municipality.
- Successful approaches and mechanism addressing adolescent FP/RH are institutionalized.
